SitexOrbis providing flexible security services for property management company with portfolio of estates throughout the United Kingdom
Places For People Takes Void Protection Services From SitexOrbis
Places for People is one of the largest property management, development and regeneration companies in the UK.

With assets in excess of £2.9 billion, it currently manages more than 60,000 homes nationwide and has a long track record of successful development, from large-scale regeneration projects to the creation of whole new communities.

SitexOrbis was appointed via LHC's OJEU compliant, pre-tendered framework arrangement for void protection and estate management for a £1m three year contract, with the possibility of extra one year extensions.

Says Katy Mills at Places for People: "SitexOrbis undoubtedly provides the best security for the job. Managers take into consideration neighbourhood aesthetics, vulnerability of the property, the level of risk and most importantly neighbours and local residents.

"For Places for People, by using SItexOrbis via LHC's framework arrangement, we are assured of compliance with EU public sector procurement rules. And by procuring one contractor, we have achieved maximum administration efficiency benefits, without compromising on quality. With this peace of mind, we can concentrate on our number one priority, which is looking after our residents."

Mark Cosh, European Director of SitexOrbis added: "Places for People recognised it could make significant improvements to their properties more quickly by choosing just one provider of void security. This would also boost resident's satisfaction and allow them to work within time and budget.

"However, as a public sector organisation, the company is bound by the procedures outlined in the European Directive for Procurement. To avoid this laborious process, we recommended using LHC for a quick and compliant solution so that we could begin on site as soon as possible, to clear and clean empty homes ready for new residents."

LHC's void protection and estate management framework arrangement has now been extended to offer traditional void security and associated services have been added, with SitexOrbis remaining an appointed company to ensure a fast relet service.

John Skivington, Director of LHC concluded: "This new arrangement is a direct reflection of the success our appointed company SitexOrbis has had working with organisations like Places for People.

"It is also a strategic move to support other LHC frameworks users, by offering a complete service that can be used to protect a property and prepare it for refurbishment work such as the replacement of doors, windows and kitchens, items that can also be procured using one or more of the 10 framework arrangements offered by LHC."

LHC is a leading technical authority in offering OJEU compliant, pre-tendered framework arrangements for main building components and contractor services.
