Perimeter intrusion detection award for Xtralis

Xtralis : 02 July, 2009  (Company News)
Frost and Sullivan recognises Xtralis as a European leader in the field of outdoor perimeter intrusion detection systems
Xtralis has announced that global growth consulting company, Frost & Sullivan, has awarded Xtralis the 2009 European Outdoor Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems Customer Value Leadership of the Year Award. Xtralis was selected as this year's winner based on its proactive initiatives in designing integrated security solutions that help customers deter threats and protect their most important assets and facilities.

"With experience spanning more than 20 years, Xtralis has created a broad security portfolio that combines highly sophisticated passive infrared (PIR) motion detectors, video detection and video transmission to meet the diverse requirements of the outdoor perimeter and site protection market," said Archana Rao, senior research analyst for Electronics Security with Frost & Sullivan. "By combining the benefits of these products, Xtralis has created compelling perimeter detection solutions that have delivered significant value for its European customers."

The company's perimeter security product portfolio includes:

* Xtralis ADPRO Presidium for advanced video motion detection and false-alarm immunity that has been approved by i-LIDS as the primary detection system for operational alert use in sterile zone monitoring applications
* Xtralis ADPRO PRO Series of passive infrared detectors that detect human targets by constantly sensing surrounding temperature differences
* Xtralis ADPRO FastTrace, an advanced audio and video transmission and alarm management system for multi-site security and remote-monitoring applications

Xtralis ADPRO solutions are widely deployed across the United Kingdom and Europe in government buildings, logistics centres, retail and financial services companies, utilities, transportation infrastructure and other critical facilities that require reliable, robust protection from a wide array of threats.

"We're honoured to be recognised by Frost & Sullivan for our commitment to providing customers with innovative solutions to meet their needs," says Jorg Tilkin, director of product line management for Xtralis Security Solutions. "Xtralis ADPRO intrusion detection and perimeter protection solutions are the No. 1 choice for critical manufacturing and commercial applications, in addition to law enforcement, defence and government throughout Europe. In such a competitive market, we're pleased that the credibility and reliability of our security solutions have been recognised, and we will continue to operate with customer-centricity as a top priority in Europe and throughout the globe."

Among all the manufacturers in this domain, Xtralis was selected as the recipient of this award because of its products, unique value-added services to customers, and the ability to help customers overcome their challenges in emerging security applications. The selection process included rigorous discussions with market participants accompanied by extensive secondary research on market and technological trends.
