Partnership Brings dn:Director To HR Applications

Datanomic : 07 January, 2011  (Company News)
Datanomic joins forces with Hong Kong based IT company to bring fraud prevention and data management to Human Resource management systems
Risk & Compliance screening and enterprise data management specialist, Datanomic, has further expanded its Asia Pacific presence and the market reach of its dn:Director for HR solution through a new partnership agreement with Hong Kong-based IT services specialist, COL Limited. The partnership will enable organisations to gain business visibility through a ‘Single View’ of HR data by resolving errors and inconsistencies held in multiple discrete and often incompatible systems.

The HR issues associated with an ageing workforce, pension obligations and their various associated funds and schemes, mergers and acquisitions, and the employment of contract workers, all have implications that are reliant on accurate employee data. One of the most fundamental challenges of any enterprise system is the preparation of data to ensure it is accurate and fit-for-purpose.

Without such effort, many of the results generated by the system could be unreliable. dn:Director for HR provides a one-stop-shop for profiling, analysing and transforming data in a collaborative way to ensure HR data records are complete, helping HR departments to fully maximise their internal talent, whilst the web-based reporting of dn:Dashboard allows real-time response to report requests from the lines of business.

“Industries with a transient workforce, such as transportation, shipping, air travel, and retail must continually address the challenges of employee data management,” said Jeremy Lovett, Vice President, Data Management Applications Division for Datanomic.

“Likewise, financial services organisations often have difficulty gaining a single view from different payroll systems, following a merger or acquisition. Data can be highly fragmented, held in multiple systems, in differing formats, can be structured or unstructured, owned and maintained by individual business units or by the IT department. Consequently there is often a lack of overall employee data visibility or a ‘single view’, which can lead to a myriad of costly and time-consuming complications, potentially resulting in misallocation of resources or financial irregularities. Our partnership with COL, will enable Hong Kong-based based organisations to directly address these critical issues through a single solution.”

dn:Director for HR provides a complete data management solution tailored to the needs of the HR team, with pre-configured tools allowing them to quickly take control of their employee data and create a consistent and accurate single view. Built on the core capabilities of Datanomic’s award-winning dn:Director, the solution de-risks HR migration and HCM initiatives by ensuring they are utilising fit-for-purpose data. dn:Director for HR’s extensive, configurable and auditable data management capabilities also ensure the HR team is compliant with enterprise-wide data governance programmes, industry regulations or compliance legislation. The solution can work simultaneously with data from multiple sources across the enterprise, standardising it into a uniform format before automatically identifying and resolving duplicated entries or errors, such as missing National Insurance/Social Security numbers or a mismatch of bank account and sort-code details.

COL will be providing dn:Director for HR either as an on-premise solution for large organisations, or offered as a SaaS-based service for small and medium sized companies.
