Organised Retail Crime Conference to Take Place on March 24th

Universal Surveillance Systems : 22 March, 2010  (Company News)
Universal Surveillance Systems is joining retailers and law enforcement bodies in a conference this week to share intelligence in futhering efforts to combat retail crime
On March 24, 2010, Universal Surveillance Systems (USS) Corporation and Ross Stores will partner to unite major retailers, leaders in e-commerce, government and law enforcement in a rare opportunity to network, learn and discuss the topic of Organized Retail Crime (ORC) and the strategies used to combat ORC.

This ORC Conference is the seventh in an ongoing series hosted by USS in partnership with major retail partners. The March 24 conference will include over 100 attendees in loss prevention, government and law enforcement. The conference is closed to the public and is held as a private event to enable its speakers and participants to have an open discussion.

Speakers include key industry leaders and government experts from Ross, Ebay, The Gap, Barnes & Noble, The FBI and ICE Division of Homeland Security.

"Organized retail crime is ever-evolving," said Adel Sayegh, President and Chief Executive Officer of USS Corporation. "This meeting of the minds allows loss prevention, government and law enforcement to come together and share the strategies that can be utilized to keep a step ahead of retail criminals."

Mr Sayegh, a former Marine, a member of the National Retail Federation Advisory Council and a loss prevention innovator for over 15 years, launched the series of ORC conferences in 2007 and will continue to promote ORC awareness. USS has plans for a minimum of two more ORC conferences this year in different parts of the country.
