OneSign Platform for secure access to IT resources to be marketed by TSSI

TSSI Systems : 16 June, 2009  (Company News)
TSSI signs agreement with Imprivata to market OneSign into police forces and health organisations in the UK for secure network access control
TSSI has signed a partnership agreement with employee access management company, Imprivata, to distribute its OneSign Platform to secure and simplify access to networks, desktops and applications. TSSI's focus will be selling and implementing Imprivata OneSign into police departments and healthcare trusts nationwide.

Biometrics and identity specialist, TSSI, will compliment its existing portfolio of technology solutions for the verification of personnel and documents with OneSign to provide a holistic security solution encompassing both physical and virtual access control.

Recognising the increased demand for safe access to applications with a single password or strong authentication device, specifically within the police and health sector, Imprivata partnered with TSSI based on its existing presence and established relationships within these key markets. With the new strong authentication management capabilities, TSSI can help clinical and police staff to securely and quickly access the critical data for which they are authorised from multiple applications using a single set of secure log-on credentials.

John Barker, General Manager, TSSI Systems, said: "With our extensive knowledge and experience in delivering best in class physical access authentication solutions, adding OneSign to our portfolio was a natural step for us. Our contacts in the police departments and hospitals place the utmost importance on making sure that public data within their networks and servers is safe yet easily retrieved in their every day jobs and certainly in the event of an emergency. Imprivata's OneSign platform is key to helping our existing and prospective customers achieve this kind of streamlined access management."

"Organisations across sectors, including healthcare, local government, defence, and manufacturing are quickly recognising the immense potential of single sign-on, both from an employee efficiency and security perspective," said Omar Hussain, president and CEO, Imprivata. "We look forward to working with TSSI which will utilise its vast industry experience and expertise to deliver the OneSign solution to forward-thinking organisations, helping to streamline IT access and drive productivity whilst delivering the optimum levels of security."

Additionally, to meet compliance stipulations, OneSign provides IT personnel with complete transparency into exactly who accessed what files, when and from where. With OneSign, IT staff can also terminate a user's entire network and application access capabilities in order to prevent any unauthorised trespass attempts.
