Norbain LIVE08 road show to feature wide scope of surveillance equipment

Norbain : 22 September, 2008  (Technical Article)
Cameras, DVR equipment and video management systems from a range of manufacturers to feature in Norbain LIVE events across the UK
Don't miss the opportunity to visit a Norbain LIVE event near you and catch up on what's what in the world of CCTV and electronic security. With all the major brands attending, you'll get the opportunity to explore new technologies and speak with the experts, all in a relaxed and informal setting.

Dedicated Micros, part of AD Group, will be displaying its extensive portfolio of Analytics Capable CCTV solutions at Norbain LIVE. The company is able to provide a wide range of Video Analytics capabilities such as ANPR, Object Left and Removed, Access Control, People Counting and Perimeter Protection. In most cases this advanced embedded capability can simply be unlocked via a software upgrade for the latest Dedicated Micros, Analytics Capable, DVRs and other NetVu Connected Devices. Compatible systems include: DV-IP RT, DV-IP Server, SD Range, CamVu 2000, DV-IP Codec and HighVu Excel.

Forward Vision, a member of the Bosch group, will be demonstrating the new MIC1-500 Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) camera at Norbain LIVE from 25th September to 25th October 2008. The environmentally protected camera head, featuring an all new design with integrated sunshield, incorporates a 'twist-lock' canting function allowing the camera to be canted at 45deg while on-site. It also features On-Screen Display (OSD) menus for remote camera set-up and a choice of 540TVL 18x or 36x Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) camera modules. Other MIC1 series cameras, including thermal, infrared and explosion protected units, will also be available for demonstration.

NVT's revolutionary 'Digital EQ' Active Receiver Hubs continuously and automatically compensate for cable attenuation, ground loops, and wiring polarity, independent of video signal image - meaning no video equalisation adjustments are necessary - making for fast and adjustment free installations. A new raft of 4-channel Power, Video & Data (PVD) UTP transmission products, designed for smaller camera count installations, consolidate CCTV system cabling and provide camera power at distance. This negates the need for cameras to be supplied with dedicated fused spurs - saving time and money. Saving valuable equipment racking space, are new, extremely compact, 8, 16 and 32-channel Passive Transceiver 'Stub' Hubs.

Vista's Graphica2 IP is a user friendly, graphical based management system with an open architecture allowing the user to plug-in a range of Vista equipment, including DVRs, all the products available in the VIP-KIT and the VIP-STREAM range, and many leading 3rd party manufacturers' DVRs and IP equipment. It allows video streams to be recorded to a local PC or to network storage as well as allowing multi-screen video walls anywhere on the network. It can support up to 16 users and has no limit on the number of cameras linked to the system.
