None line of site wireless networking for the surveillance market

Kane Computing : 04 August, 2008  (New Product)
Point to Point wireless network system ideally suited to video surveillance and traffic monitoring and control applications
Kane Computing is now selling a range of Point-to-Point Wireless Systems for remote video/audio monitoring for traffic control and video security applications.

The BreezeACCESS and BreezeNET families of wireless links offer non line-of-site (NLOS) high capacity, long range point-to-point links with up to 108Mbps speeds.

Alvarion’s BreezeACCESS VL SU-Video is a cost effective, flexible wireless access infrastructure ideally suited for the diverse needs of the video surveillance market. Providing strategic, wire-free outdoor connectivity for a broad range of cameras and sensors, it ensures highly effective video surveillance services in the 5GHz spectrum.

BreezeNET B offers a high capacity Point-to-Point wireless link in 5GHz bands, with speeds up to 108Mbps, ideal for back-hauling and video transfer to central office or control centre.

Richard White, Managing Director of Kane Computing stated “This is an important addition to our Digital Video encoding and streaming products family currently used for transport and video security applications. When used in motorway construction projects for example, there is a real risk of electrical or fibre optic cables being cut, loosing vital video information. This problem is eliminated by using radio links.”
