Nextiva Range Expanded With the S5000 Series With H.264 Compression

Verint Systems : 26 March, 2010  (New Product)
High Definition IP Cameras including a range of dome camera models added to the Nextiva IP camera range from Verint Systems featuring resolutions up to 2 megapixels and a highly efficient H.264 implementation for improved bandwidth management
Verint Systems has announced additions to its growing next-generation IP camera line. Part of the Nextiva IP Video portfolio from Verint Video Intelligence Solutions, the company's new IP cameras represent the latest in robust technology with ultra-crisp images, super-efficient bandwidth management and excellent performance in virtually any video security application.

The introduction of the Nextiva S5000 Series of IP cameras expands the breadth of Verint's camera portfolio, bringing six new models to the market. These professional IP cameras — which include fixed, indoor dome and outdoor vandal-resistant IP66 Dome camera models — feature resolutions from VGA to high-definition 2.0 megapixels to accommodate a wide range of video security requirements. Dual streaming and supported video compressions from H.264 to MJPEG and MPEG-4 help optimize use of valuable bandwidth and storage.

Designed for easy installation and operation in any environment, Nextiva S5000 IP cameras can be configured using a web browser interface or Nextiva Control Center, a centralized management portal. All six models feature analog video out for setup and installation. Further, each camera model provides greater versatility for installation: the IP indoor and outdoor Dome camera models feature an advanced 3-axis gimbal for mounting at any angle; the IP box camera models include DC auto-iris capabilities, allowing the most flexibility in lens selection.

Nextiva S5000 IP dome cameras are fully integrated with the Nextiva Video Management software — which is comprised of centralized device management, automated health monitoring and remote video viewing — and with other Verint solutions, including the Nextiva EdgeVR IP-based Network Video recorder.

"Verint is committed to delivering an end-to-end IP Video solution that helps organizations simplify operations, meet security requirements and provide low total cost of ownership. We believe that adding these new IP cameras to our portfolio will serve the market well, and enable users to effectively manage and maximize their IP Video system investments," says Elan Moriah, president, Verint Video Intelligence Solutions and Verint Witness Actionable Solutions.
