New VP for Mate global marketing

Mate Intelligent Video continues its thrust into the global smart surveillance market with the recruitment of new sales and marketing vice president.
Mate Intelligent Video announced that Aviram Segal has joined the company as Vice President of worldwide Sales and Marketing. In this position, Mr Segal will be responsible for the entire spectrum of the company's global sales and marketing programs including messaging, branding, advertising, solutions marketing, Web presence strategies, public relations, and marketing communications. In addition, Segal will lead global sales activities and develop business relationships. 'We are extremely pleased to welcome Aviram to the Mate management team,' said CEO Adiv Baruch. "He brings with him extensive experience in sales and marketing and well understands the unique needs of a multi-national solutions provider like Mate. With Aviram's guidance, we will strengthen the Mate brand, enhance industry awareness of our solutions, and expand our market reach across the globe." Mr Segal began his responsibilities on July 1, 2007, and will report directly to Adiv Baruch, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Mr Segal was formerly Sales and Marketing Director EMEA and APAC for Visonic Technologies. At Visonic Technologies, Mr Segal was responsible for partner and field marketing, and corporate communications. As a member of the senior management team, he helped develop the company's overall business and operating strategies. Prior to his job at Visonic Technologies, Segal headed corporate business development and marketing at Sapport where he played a key role in mergers and acquisitions and in implementing a strategy to expand key vertical market share. "The Mate approach to advanced intelligent video surveillance and content analysis as well as Mate's products for security, safety and retail applications provide cost-effective state-of-the-art technologies," said Segal. "I'm excited to be a part of Mate and I look forward to taking our message of adding intelligence to video surveillance to customers worldwide."
