New head for federal systems division

Unisys : 06 October, 2008  (Company News)
Unisys brings on new chief to control its federal systems business focussing on sales and customer services for government contracts
Unisys has announced that Edward Davies has been named president of the Unisys Federal Systems business. Based in Reston, Virginia, Unisys Federal Systems is a leading provider of information technology services and solutions to agencies of the US federal government. Davies replaces Greg Baroni, who is leaving Unisys to pursue other interests.

For the past five years Davies has been vice president of the civilian agencies business within Unisys Federal Systems. Over this period Davies has led the civilian business to significant growth, winning major new contracts with the US Department of Justice, Health and Human Services, and the Department of Agriculture. Prior to Unisys, Davies served as executive vice president of Tele-Consultants and as a partner at Booz Allen Hamilton.

"Under Ted's leadership, we have significantly expanded our business with federal civilian agencies by focusing on delivering high quality solutions to help clients achieve mission success and by attracting and developing a talented team," said Unisys President and CEO Joseph McGrath. "We look forward to building on his experience to capitalize on growth opportunities in this market."
"I am extremely excited to take on this expanded role," Davies said. "Our government faces an array of challenges today from the war on terror and increased security concerns to the need for greater cost-efficiency, and Unisys has the talent and expertise to help our clients meet these challenges. I look forward to working with all of the extremely talented people of Unisys Federal Systems to grow our business in the federal marketplace."
