Network video management software now supports Microsoft .NET platform

DVTel : 13 May, 2008  (New Product)
IFSEC 2008 sees the launch of Latitude NVMS V5.3 network video management system for Microsoft .NET framework

DVTeln has announced the release of the latest version of the award-winning Latitude Network Video Management System (NVMS) Version 5.3, at IFSEC in Birmingham, UK, 12-15 May. DVTel is the predominant player in the global IP-based physical security market, as it continues to promote and provide an open systems solution. DVTel’s Latitude NVMS 5.3 was developed using the latest release of Microsoft .NET Version 3 Framework. Microsoft .Net is the platform that over 90% of the world’s corporations demand as the development platform for all of their software-based products. The migration to the latest release of Microsoft .NET enables DVTel’s enterprise customers to leverage the power of both .NET and extensive IP Video experience for improved deployment and scalability, as well as performance and data security. Latitude 5.3 provides greater scalability in deployment by supporting more cameras per system and reducing the number of servers required. The “out of the box†experience is now more user-friendly, which ultimately lowers installation and servicing costs for integrators and installers. There are significant additions and improvements to the user experience with the new 5.3 AdminCenter, which includes dashboards, wizards, and goal-oriented programming. As part of this release, the iSOC V5.3 will support Microsoft Vista operating system. Latitude NVMS 5.3 works within DVTel’s intelligent Security Operations Centre (iSOC) using Multi-source Information Management to unify video, audio, access control, alarm, and analytics data . The user’s mission critical data is always secure within the system and is analysed to create intelligent and actionable information. Latitude NVMS 5.3 provides increased performance, reliability and stability across the board – from implementation through end user maintenance. The Global Client experience has been enhanced by providing new user administration tools for customers who manage multiple Latitude NVMS systems across several locations. Active Directory integration enables a Latitude group to comply with existing IT policies and support a global user management scheme. DVTel provides one of the most complete ranges of IP cameras in the industry while maintaining strong support for open platform systems. As such, Latitude NVMS 5.3 continues to expand the number of integration partners with over 100 other IP cameras including those from Axis, Bosch, Arecont, Verint, Sony, JVC and many others. DVTel’s intelligent Security Operations Centre (iSOC) advances in another important way with this latest software release: the release of Latitude 5.3 will be followed by the release of Longitude 5.3, ensuring continued unified management of CCTV and access control and introducing further enhancements to the iSOC V5 platform. DVTel President and CEO, Eli Gorovici, “For over five years and over 2500 installations worldwide, DVTel has been at the forefront of the IP Video and access control revolution. Our move to an open platform based on Microsoft .NET version 3 Framework makes DVTel’s architecture even more powerful as it illustrates the way forward for the security industry as we experience ever-increasing convergence of IT and Security.â€Â
