Network Attached IP Video Storage

Vista CCTV : 30 March, 2012  (New Product)
Cube network video system from Vista incorporates embedded Linux Network Attached Storage
Network Attached IP Video Storage
Part of Vista’s end to end IP solution, Cube is an entry level, embedded Linux Network Attached Storage (NAS) device. It can store video data from installations requiring up to four D1 resolution or two full HD streams from IP cameras at real-time in both live and playback modes. Internal HDD storage can be expanded to a maximum of 4TB to best suit the requirements of each unit.

Connection and configuration of Cube is simple, requiring just a PC or laptop on the network. To allow for quick and easy addressing, the integrated IP finder wizard software auto detects both Cube NAS devices and Vista’s VIP2 cameras on the same network. The VIP2 range can be set up directly from the Cube web pages. Once connected, recording schedules for individual cameras can be applied to maximise the HDD storage.

Features include the ability to view live and recorded images along with digital zoom and timeline search from the Cube web pages. The units also come with Central Management Software (CMS), which allows up to 64 Cubes to be connected simultaneously with images displayed over dual monitors. Should an event occur, the simple timeline – or more detailed time and date search – allows evidence from single or multiple cameras to be archived locally via a USB or exported over the network.

“Vista Cube is an extremely cost effective option for smaller installations and for installers who are just moving into the IP market,” explains Andy Cassidy, Vista business manager. “Vista will be at IFSEC 2012 on the Norbain stand in Hall 5 if visitors would like to find out more about our end to end IP solution.”
