Microsense is attending the IFSEC show in Birmingham with its innovative microwave based perimeter protection system
Narrow beam microwave fence on show at IFSEC

Microsense Solutions, specialists in perimeter security, are proud to be exhibiting on Stand 5/G132 at IFSEC 2013, at the NEC Birmingham. First time exhibitors at the event, Microsense, will be launching the latest version of its precision narrow beam microwave fence, which boasts a sleek new module design. System features include field selectable antennae to cover different site conditions and ranges, zone lengths from 3m to 100m, cloud connectivity and alert transmission to SMART devices, remote set- up and diagnostics, with a high detection rate (HDR) and a low nuisance alarm rate (NAR).

Each of the sensors acts as a secure network element on the perimeter edge integrating microwave detection, with local video storage and secure communication of any intrusion event, to the Cloud or the Client’s Security Management System. The system has a number of expandable software and hardware modules for increased data analytics and functionality, such as GPS and environmental sensors.

Upon generation of an alert, the system carries out a detailed analysis of the situation.  If the threat is deemed genuine, an alarm signal is generated, which can be treated in analogue or digital form, and travels through the fence to the monitoring station. The alert appears on the operator’s screen which warns security personal of the incident.

For critical infrastructure applications such as airports and data- centres, the system can fully integrate with previously installed security elements, to add a further layer of protection, preventing a security breach from escalating further. The easy to install system provides a cost effective solution for enterprise, entrance and partial or complete perimeters.  Microsense is the ideal platform for alarm receiving centres (ARC).

Visit the Microsense stand at IFSEC, May 13th to 17th, to see the system in action.
