Cross Match Technologies has announced the European debut of several new biometric products and applications at the Biometric 2012 Conference and Exhibition in London.
The next generation Cross Match Guardian ten-print scanners represent a new approach for the faster, simpler, more cost effective processing in high-throughput environments such as immigration control or visa screening. Available in two models, the Guardian and Guardian IP deliver a completely self-guided ten-print fingerprint process and incorporate technology to capture both moist and dry finger images with the same high quality. The Guardian IP adds an internal processor, connecting the device directly to the network and eliminating the need for a local PC.
The Company’s WEBS server-based application platform was launched in August with the introduction of an enrollment module with integrated transaction management. Other planned standalone WEBS modules include store and forward, multi-modal matching, and data management reporting. When coupled with a Guardian IP, WEBS provides a highly competitive and seamless server-based biometric solution that improves privacy and security while reducing the IT costs associated with deploying, maintaining and supporting solutions.
Cross Match is debuting its new EF200, a compact, lightweight, and cost effective two finger capture device. The EF200 utilizes electroluminescent technology to produce high quality flat and rolled fingerprint images. The device is FBI Appendix F, FAP Level 45 and PIV certified.
The Company is also demonstrating its card conversion application developed to digitize ink and paper fingerprint cards in high volume environments. The software is designed with a simple, intuitive user interface enabling easy access to biometric data that would otherwise be unusable and/or inaccessible. The product is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2013.
“We continue to listen very closely to our global customers to understand what impacts their mission and performance,” said David Ellison, head of product management at Cross Match. “This new suite of products are game-changing technologies adapted to a wide array of real world use cases that are highly attuned to emerging customer needs. These devices are designed to deliver long term benefits as to significantly reduce costs.
“Cross Match has a long history of innovating and delivering for our customers; a commitment that was recently recognized with the presentation of the Frost & Sullivan 2012 Award for Customer Value Enhancement,” said John Hinmon, marketing leader for Cross Match. “Cross Match is very proud to receive this prestigious award presented for excellence in creating significant value for customers with a focus on improving the return on the investment of the purchased products and services.”
