Miniature HD camera demonstration

Toshiba Imaging Systems Division : 02 December, 2008  (New Product)
The world's smallest high definition camera has been demonstrated by Toshiba Imaging
Toshiba Imaging demonstrated the world's smallest HD camera during an open house hosted by VMI (Sunnyvale, CA), specialists in broadcast, presentation, imaging, security, and streaming video products. The recent event highlighted Toshiba's IK-HD1 3CCD camera featuring superior clarity via the 1920 x 1080 pixel output in HDSDI. The tiny HDTV camera head can be easily integrated into new and existing systems and is ideal for use in small or confined spaces.

The new, affordable high definition IK-HR1D Video Camera was also shown, mounted to a Leica microscope. The 1/3 inch, 2.1 mega pixel CMOS colour sensor demonstrated the true 1980 x 1080 progressive scan resolution. Toshiba Imaging also presented the ultra-low-light IK-ME1000 color camera with sensitivity of 1/1000 lux. The day-long event was open to the broadcast video and scientific imaging communities.

Vincent Giovinco, Toshiba Imaging's national sales manager, notes, "We were delighted to co-host and collaborate with VMI Video to present our latest and greatest cameras and their capabilities. Our combined staff was available all day to answer questions and demo the cameras and systems to a very enthusiastic audience. We look forward to future events to present our proprietary, prism block 3CCD sensor technology and our new high def camera family."
