Miniature GigE Basler camera from Multipix Imaging

Multipix Imaging : 10 November, 2009  (New Product)
The Basler ace series has been launched bringing full GigE capability to a low-cost, miniature camera
Miniature GigE Basler camera from Multipix Imaging
The ground-breaking Basler ace camera series was officially launched at the Vision Show, Stuttgart at a size of only 29x29mm, with Power over Ethernet and all for an amazing low price.

These cameras are designed to meet the cost demands of analogue camera users while offering all of the technological advantages of a digital camera. As well as the smallest footprint and Power over Ethernet, the high-performance FPGA used in these cameras is packed with exciting features, such as several automatic parameter adjustment functions and helpful new features like an optimised software trigger function for high-speed triggering via the GigE bus. The Power over Ethernet option makes connecting GigE cameras less complex and even cheaper by eliminating the need for a second cable. Software integration is extremely simple also as Basler provides its pylon software package, a free-of-charge SDK and Viewer Tool, with plenty of sample programs to help users get started quickly with their ace camera. The pylon software package runs on Windows and Linux and can be used with all common development environments.

The ace series will initially consist of four camera models in monochrome and color with resolutions from VGA to 2megapixels and featuring a C-mount adapter. All cameras are equipped with a CCD sensor. The first models will be available from March 2010.
