Microsoft interoperability move welcomed.

Brookcourt Solutions : 24 May, 2007  (Technical Article)
Interoperability between Microsoft's NAP and the Trusted Access Control standard reflects the multi-vendor approach that most IT professionals prefer.
Brookcourt Solutions has applauded Microsoft's commitment to making its Network Access Protection (NAP) technology interoperable with the Trusted Computing Group's Trusted Access Control standard.

Microsoft's announcement, made late yesterday at the Interop 2007 show in the US, has been hailed as a significant move for organisations with networking and security resources from several vendors.

'The PC is approaching a quarter of a century in age and, as a result, many of the companies we install networking and security systems for have multiple IT systems from multiple vendors,' said Phil Higgins, a senior partner with the Redhill, Surrey-based value-added systems integrator,

'Microsoft's move on interoperability is to be welcomed, as it reflects the multi-vendor nature of modern IT resources and their networking plus security systems,' he said.
