Media converters designed for building automation projects

Ethernet Direct : 20 July, 2009  (New Product)
Single and Mult-mode Ethernet to Fibre converters from Ethernet Direct designed for multiple uses of networking in building projects
Ethernet Direct Corporation, a professional and primary provider of Industrial Networking and communication solutions launches a new type of Industrial media converters especially designed for building automation application. The RUE-111SE (multimode) and RUE-113SE (single mode) are Industrial Extended Temperature Ethernet to Fibre Converter with one 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port and one fibre port. RUE-111SE and RUE-113SE are equipped with a terminal block to provide dual power inputs with reverse polarity protection. The built-in Link Loss Forwarding (LLF) and Link Fault Pass through (LFP) technology promptly alarm users in case of port breaks or power failure. These industrial media converters accept a wide voltage range from 12 to 48VDC and 24VAC (18 to 30V) especially designed for building automation applications. Furthermore, it offers additional power protection by providing 6000VDC Ethernet ESD protection and provides 3000VDC surge (EFT) protection against over-voltage. Its IP-30 housing protection, wide operating temperature of -40 to 80 and DIN-Rail mounting make RUE-111SE and RUE-113SE suitable for an industrial environment. Building Automation is an idea of using a control system to monitor and command the mechanical, lighting, security control, or fire alarm systems in a commercial building. The computerized, intelligent network functions to keep building temperature within a specified range, control lighting, monitor performance of all systems, and send out alarm signals to maintenance engineers or administrators when failure occurs. Building automation requires 24VAC and strict certification approvals to handle need of the environment. The RUE-111SE and RUE-113SE are the best choices for building automation with intelligent network functions.
