Manned guarding contract for Miami judicial facilities

Tri-S Security : 19 November, 2007  (Application Story)
Vanguard Security wins Miami state order for manned guarding services for court and barrister protection along with other local Government facilities.
Tri-S Security has announced that its subsidiary, The Cornwall Group, trading as Vanguard Security, has been awarded a new contract with the Miami-Dade County General Service Administration (GSA) estimated to generate approximately $1.7 million over the next four months. The contract begins on November 19, 2007.

The new contract involves more than 100 armed and unarmed guards. Vanguard will provide security for Miami-Dade County Court Houses, Florida State Attorneys offices, public defenders offices and other government facilities.

"Vanguard has established a very strong reputation with Miami-Dade County," said Ronald Farrell, chairman and CEO of Tri-S Security. "Vanguard was brought in to complete an existing contract which expires March 31, 2008. In the event the contract is extended through the balance of 2008 the contract value would be approximately $5.0 million. Given the contract begins immediately, we'll have the benefit of six weeks of revenue from this contract in our fourth quarter results."

"We are extremely pleased that we were selected to complete this contract," said Sean Flynn, president of Cornwall Group. "We believe this contract reaffirms the level of service we are providing to Miami-Dade County and their trust in our ability to provide the highest level of safety and security to their facilities in the greater Miami area."
