Malware analysis tool box for SonicWall

Norman Security : 13 February, 2008  (Application Story)
Norman supplies SandBox Analysis product set to SonicWall for the analysis of malicious software.
Security solution vendor, SonicWall has chosen Norman to further enhance its capabilities for analysing malicious software (malware) in its labs.

'The threat landscape is constantly evolving, and so are the techniques used by the bad guys to infect or attack their victims. Norman's SandBox Analyser tool, along with our other analysis techniques, will enable us to more quickly investigate the thousands of files received in our labs every day,' said Alex Dubrovsky, leader of SonicWall's vulnerability and malware research team.

Norman SandBox Analyser automates the process of analyzing suspicious files, identifying types of malware and assessing threats. The Analyser is able to handle large numbers of files at one time and enables users to gain an understanding of the behaviour of the files more quickly and effectively than ever before.

'SonicWall is a leading player in the data security industry with millions of customers worldwide. We are really pleased that SonicWall has chosen Norman SandBox Analyzer to continue to deliver the best possible service to its customers. This is a great testimonial to the power of our anti malware solutions,' said Arvid Gomez, Vice President OEM & Technology Sales, Norman Data Defense Systems.
