After a four year sabbatical, the FAST Annual Conference returns in November to focus on key industry issues facing businesses throughout 2010 and beyond. Lord Redesdale will present the Keynote on Green IT, and this full day event will also be jam packed with high level presentations from well-respected industry speakers and hands-on workshops discussing other topical issues such as Virtualisation, Cloud Computing, SaaS, Counterfeit Software, Software Asset Management, ITIL, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Cybersecurity.

Lord Redesdale first entered House of Lords in 1991. He was created a life peer as Baron Mitford, of Redesdale in the County of Northumberland in 2000. He is also Chairman of the Nitrogen Economy Development Partnership and a Patron of City of London College.

Matt Barnes, Operations Director at FAST Ltd described Lord Redesdale's participation as the main speaker as a coup for the event.

"In Software Asset Management and compliance, we are navigating through a world fraught with continuous change and ever-increasing complexity. It is very much a similar story in the world of climate change, and we are delighted that Lord Redesdale has accepted our invitation to be a speaker at the FAST Annual Conference."

FAST Ltd is the UK's leading independent authority on Software Asset Management and IT Compliance, and over the years has helped 8,000 organisations control their IT costs, mitigate risk and deploy best practice IT using expert, impartial and independent advice.

As well as the presentation from Lord Redesdale, the conference will also include presentations from Ian Osborne, Director of Digital Systems Knowledge Transfer Network, Intellect; Tracey Rawling Church, Director Brand and Reputation, Kyocera Mita; Dominic Storey, Technical Director EMEA, Sourcefire; Peter Rowell, Chairman, Regent Partners International; Ian Moyse, Channel Director EMEA, Webroot; and Peter Hubbard from Connectsphere followed by a Mercedes Benz World Delegate Tour. Throughout the day registered attendees will be able to attend numerous break-out sessions with industry speakers and analysts.

There will also be an exhibition area separate from the conference programme for companies to showcase their products with demonstrations and industry experts on hand to advise and inform participants about the trends and latest offerings in the marketplace.

The event will cater for 150-200 delegates from the FAST customer base and 15-20 vendors which includes organisations of varying sizes; from 30 to 30,000 IT devices.
