LinkedIn personnel changes section exposes companiestest

Aladdin Knowledge Systems : 23 June, 2008  (Technical Article)
Aladdin voices concerns over companies posting information about personnel changes on business networking sites such as LinkedIn
The Aladdin Content Security Response Team (Aladdin CSRT) has identified corporate data concerns surrounding a new trend of online company profiles on business-oriented social networks.

Recently, LinkedIn, the 20 million-user business social network, introduced a service in which online company profiles expose a business's most recent hires and promotions. LinkedIn's new service was launched with hundreds of thousands of company profiles ranging from Fortune 500 list of largest industrial corporations to smaller enterprises, as well as charitable organisations.

Aladdin CSRT specialists find two noteworthy areas of concern: "New Hires" and "Recent Promotions and Changes."
