Lawful intercept discussion at e-Crime Congress.

SS8 Networks : 06 March, 2008  (Company News)
Tool for use in the fight against cyber crime comes under the spotlight of the e-Crime Congress to fully understand the challenges associated with Lawful Intercept.
SS8 Networks is emphasising the capabilities of today's advanced Lawful Intercept solutions during this week's e-Crime Congress in London. Despite current heightened public interest surrounding LI technologies, particularly in the UK, with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown advocating the possible use of intercept in sensitive cases within the British legal system, many Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) and other stakeholders in the fight against e-Crime need to become fully versed in the issues and processes surrounding LI best practices.

"With our multiple offices in EMEA and our unparalleled experience in providing standards based LI solutions, we are continually educating stakeholders and furthering their knowledge about the relevance of intercept within today's sensitive information climate," said Colin Verrall, Vice President EMEA, SS8 Networks. "The main considerations of any LI solution are the interfaces between the network equipment and the LI technology at the service provider end and the connections to LEAs at the other end. In Europe, with our technology being standards-based, we comply with all the appropriate ETSI interfaces."

SS8 Networks LI solutions encompass the award winning Xcipio platform providing the three necessary elements required for utilising intercept information rapidly, effectively and appropriately; access, mediation and collection. The capability of SS8's end-to-end solution is a mainstay in the international LI market place and is currently deployed by over 250 service providers, and is capable of intercepting traffic from over 500 million subscribers worldwide.
