ISO accreditation for software license compliance vendor.

Trustmarque Solutions : 06 March, 2008  (Company News)
Information security management standards met to ISO/IEC 27001 by Trustmarque Solutions.
Trustmarque Solutions has just been awarded ISO/IEC 27001 Security Management Standard. ISO/IEC 27001 is an information security management system standard published in October 2005 by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). The standard provides companies worldwide with a framework for managing their information security.

Ross Miller, Managing Director for Trustmarque Solutions is delighted: "We were not looking for quick fix short term option we needed a long term solution based on continuous improvement. The concept behind ISO 27001 is really very straightforward, identify the business need, implement the relevant controls and ensure these controls are maintained and improved upon. However in reality, this is quite an undertaking for any company, but it does provide an excellent indication of an organisation's commitment to operating a secure environment. At Trustmarque we have very high standards when it comes to protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of our information. This way we can ensure that we deliver first-class products and services to our customers."

The basic objective of the standard is to help establish and maintain an effective information management system, using a continuous improvement approach. It implements OECD (Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development) principles, governing security of information and network systems.

Miller continues: "We were looking to achieve a level of security and business continuity that was commensurate with the objectives and goals of the overall business and I am proud to say that we have accomplished this."
