American Fibertek (AFI) : 01 April, 2009  (New Product)
Video Network Enterprise Solutions from American Fibertek enable ease of integration between IP surveillance systems and legacy analogue networks
American Fibertek (AFI) is showcasing enhancements to the company's highly touted V'nes Video Network Enterprise Solutions at ISC West 2009. V'nes enhanced capabilities have been engineered to further ease integration challenges while affording greater control and functionality for complex integrated system operations.

"Network-based systems allow integration of previously disparate video and security systems, to provide users with new levels of functionality and control. V'nes is designed to help make the transition to integrated operations easy whether implementing the latest IP Video solutions or upgrading legacy analogue systems," said Jack Fernandes, President and CEO of AFI. "V'nes offers a range of open platform features that address interoperability of these various systems on any scale and with the highest levels of system control and performance."

Feature additions to the V'nes Pilot Series Video and Network Management Software include: full integration with H.264 video; a web interface; improved viewing features including storing views on the fly, search and view while watching and multiple playbacks; an alarm interface from any external source; and a video capture driver for USB devices such as webcams.

The lineup of V'nes Packaged Systems has also been expanded to include new four and nine camera packages, which will be marketed to the small business owner. Additionally new, all V'nes Packaged Systems will immediately recognize Axis cameras at turn-on and will automatically load all camera locations.

The complete suite of V'nes systems products on display at ISC West 2009 includes: Commander Series IP Communications Switch, Scout Series Environmental Monitoring System, Pilot Series Video and Network Management Software, Director Series Dedicated Server Storage Solutions and MX Series Multi Port Media Converters.

V'nes provides an "Open Path" to integrate IP and analogue systems operation and is the industry's only comprehensive video surveillance network solution that delivers control, management and transmission capabilities in fully customizable and scalable user-specified configurations. For optimum efficiency and low total cost of ownership, V'nes accommodates any combination of video surveillance, access control, point-of-sale, voice and data system devices operating on an analogue, IP or hybrid platform from virtually any manufacturer.
