Intruder detection system integrated to ONVIF compliant surveillance

Future Fibre Technologies : 15 January, 2013  (New Product)
CCTV cameras which are compliant to the emerging ONVIF standard are now able to be integrated to the FFT PIDS fibre optic intruder detection system for surveillance verification of intrusions
Intruder detection system integrated to ONVIF compliant surveillance

Future Fibre Technologies (FFT) has released the latest camera integration to its fibre optic perimeter intrusion detection systems. This integration from FFTs PIDS systems to more than 500 different ONVIF compliant security cameras delivers a seamless solution for controlling high quality CCTV images whenever a perimeter intrusion alarm is received.

Alec Owen, International Client Manger of Future Fibre Technologies says, “Driving this IP-based physical security standard is the Open Network Video Interface Forum (
ONVIF), an open industry group formed to standardize on how IP-based security devices including CCTV video surveillance and other IP-based products and systems communicate with each other, independent of the manufacturer.   This gives users the freedom to choose from hundreds of ONVIF compliant cameras and camera control systems without being locked into one specific vendor and their particular range of offerings.”

Dr Jim Katsifolis, CTO of FFT adds, “We are very excited about this development because it not only continues to demonstrate the powerful integration capabilities of FFTs PIDS systems, but also highlights the importance of seamlessly integrating all of the key elements of a security system into a common
ONVIF compliant operating environment.”

Key features of this FFT CAMS integration include:

* Sending
ONVIF cameras to presets when an intruder is detected
* Displaying a live video stream from these cameras
* Flexible interfacing to a broad range of security management systems through the FFT CAMS graphical user interface including intuitive multilingual screens with true client/server configuration, GPS integration and GIS mapping
* Peace of mind with FFT’s global 24 month warranty backed up by their global network of offices providing support in more than 55 countries.
