International standards available from IT Governance

IT Governance : 24 July, 2008  (New Product)
IEC and BSI standards for the IT industry now available through IT Governance
In today's climate of daily news bulletins concerning data breaches, security infringements and the necessity for information technology in business, it is essential that managers, directors and professionals can access the latest IT best practice standards as soon as they are available. IT Governance is now an official distributor for both the IEC (International Electro technical Commission) and BSI(British Standards Institute).

The IEC, jointly with ISO, prepares and publishes International Standards for all electrical, electronic and related technologies and BSI is the UK's National Standards Body (NSB) and was the world's first.

"We currently have the full range of ISO/IEC IT standards available from the IEC as well as all the ground-breaking British standards developed and published by BSI" explains Alan Calder, CEO of IT Governance. "It is key that these standards are available in one place along with information, guidance and a wide range of other resources to help guide users to successful deployment of these standards".

Some of the current standards available include ISO/IEC 38500 (IT Governance), ISO/IEC 19770 (Software Asset Management), ISO/IEC 20000 (IT Service Management), ISO/IEC 27001:2005 and BS25999.

You will be able to get your hands-on standards as soon as they are published in both hard copy and downloadable formats.
