Intellicheck Mobilisa Joins Lenel OpenAccess Alliance

Intellicheck Mobilisa : 08 April, 2010  (Company News)
Lenel has provided Intellicheck Mobilisa with factory certification for use with OnGuard Access Visitor Management
Intellicheck Mobilisa has received factory certification from Lenel OnGuard Access security software and is now a member of the Lenel OpenAccess Alliance Program.

Lenel's OnGuard Access Visitor Management is used in many security applications around the world. Integration into this program requires intensive training and certification. IDN successfully completed this process and this week received the coveted certification.

"Intellicheck Mobilisa has completed required factory testing at Lenel to validate the functionality of its interface to OnGuard. We look forward to their continued involvement in the Lenel OpenAccess Alliance Program," said Raffaele Ceravolo, Director of Strategic Alliances for Lenel.

This certification allows for IDN to further support various Port facilities that currently use Lenel OnGuard. With this new integration, IDN's mobile TWIC reader can now pre-enroll and register individuals into the Lenel OnGuard system remotely, thereby increasing user efficiency and speeding up the visitor registration process.

The Transportation Worker Identity Credential, or TWIC, program is a Transportation Security Administration and US Coast Guard initiative that provides tamper-resistant biometric identification cards to port facility workers. TWIC cards have become a mandatory requirement for access to all US ports as of April 15, 2009.

"We are very pleased to have successfully completed this certification process," said Dr Nelson Ludlow, CEO of Intellicheck Mobilisa. "Lenel is an industry leader, and we are excited at this new opportunity to provide an even stronger TWIC product."

The Intellicheck Mobilisa TWIC reader handheld device is used to validate TWIC credentials; the company believes such a universal reader will ultimately be needed at each of the more than 175 seaports in the United States.
