Installer competition for innovative active beam applications

Optex Europe : 02 October, 2009  (Company News)
Optex Europe is inviting installers to gain the chance of winning a laptop by submitting their most innovative use of the wireless AXTFR active beam technology
Optex Europe, manufacturer of award-winning detection systems, has launched an installer promotion to find the most innovative application for its new wireless AXTFR Active Beam technology.

AXTFR creates many opportunities for the installer and specifier alike, according to Paul Nicholas, Optex Europe's Divisional Manager: "Obviously there are huge savings to be made on conventional applications like perimeter CCTV and intruder systems as there is no cable to run," he says. "Indeed with one customer a 50% saving was achieved as no site civil work was required and the stable performance delivered by the devices kept everyone happy, including the end user."

But Paul believes it is the new solutions that are really making their mark: "The lack of power infrastructure needed for our product means that remote locations, and areas where only essential services power is available, are ideal for a self-contained and stable detection solutions such as AXTFR," he says.

AXTFR solutions comprise the AX100/200TFR range of battery powered active beams delivering 30m/60m detection, available in either a single head or multi head tower configuration. Battery life is up to five years, and each product is capable of integrating with most wireless technologies currently available. The range can also complement Optex Europe's battery powered GSM and even hard wired connection if required.

To coincide with its launch, Optex Europe has announced a competition for installers and specifiers to nominate their most innovative AXTFR application. "We think we know where our products are best suited but are constantly surprised with the innovation installers show in overcoming particular security challenges using our technology," Paul continues.

"As such, we want to hear about the installers' and specifiers' ideas and successes with the AXTFR range, with the chance to win a personal laptop computer for their efforts."
