Joint project between LuxRiot and its Indian distributor Security Vision provides IP surveillance protection for logistics and container handling company
Indian container surveillance project for LuxRiot
Aegis Logistics and its sister concern Sealord Containers are geographically spaced away from each other within the arena of 3 kilometers. They are specialized in stocking hazardous and explosive petrochemical products and wanted to equip their security department with state of the art IP CCTV systems consisting Day Night Outdoor IP cameras and High Magnification PTZ Speed dome IP cameras.

A total number of 16 Cameras out of which seven units are Day Night Outdoor IP cameras and nine units of 35X PTZ Speed dome IP cameras are aided with media converters that sent video streams over optic fiber cables to a designated central server with 1TB HDD. This setup is aided by LuxRiot software in organizing video streams into manageable and actionable information in safe guarding this highly protected facility.

For Day / Night Outdoor IP cameras 7 Axis 221 IP cameras in IP rated outdoor housing are used and for High Magnification 9 Axis 233D PTZ Speed dome IP cameras are used. All the cameras were linked to optic fiber cables though media converters and the control server was placed at Sealord Containers facility. Access of camera streams and control were given to security cabins apart from the server.

The LuxRiot Software edition used for this particular site is the LuxRiot Advanced Edition.

MPEG 4 Codec was employed in this particular setup for all connected cameras.

The customer has upgraded the methods employed by his security personnel with respect to the real time video feeds supplied by LuxRiot assisted IP camera cluster protecting their facility. They started conducting mock exercises in covert and overt manner and evaluating the security personnel response in detecting and responding to an observed anomaly through LuxRiot assisted IP CCTV System. This exercise also resulting in behaviour change with plant employees losing their laxity in observing recommended practices.

The security is conducting surprise checks with well coordinated moves and even within the security the guard's efficiency is gauged and fine tuned to the peak level by demonstrating the videos at the end of the day. The evaluation process is often followed with reviews and suggestions within the operations staff in refining the existing methods.

The Customer realized that a constant enforcement and fine tuning the security practices elevates the safety level of this sensitive facility to the achievable maximum limit. The IP CCTV setup aided by LuxRiot ensures providing organized video data to the users with excellent flexibility.
