GlobalOptions Group is pleased to announce that Howard Safir was granted honorary life time membership in the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) at last week's General Assembly of the IACP's 116th Annual Convention. Howard Safir, who served as New York City's 39th Police Commissioner, Associate Director for Operations for the United States Marshals Service and Assistant Director of the Drug Enforcement Administration, was recognized both for his efforts on behalf of IACP and for a 31 year public sector career in the public sector and 9 year private sector career bringing innovative strategies and results to federal, state and municipal law enforcement. Mr. Safir is currently serving as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of GlobalOptions Group's Security Consulting and Investigations Division.

"IACP is an organization that truly serves the needs of the law enforcement community," commented Mr Safir, "Through effective advocacy and innovative programs, IACP is an invaluable resource to the mission of reducing crime throughout the world. I will continue to work hard to serve law enforcement agencies and the American public through my work in the private sector."

"We are grateful to Mr Safir's for his years of involvement with IACP," said Mike Carroll, IACP's current President, "Both in his time as Police Commissioner and in the private sector he has greatly benefitted our organization."
