Hybrid digital IP surveillance systems from Bewator.

Bewator : 15 January, 2008  (New Product)
Bewator has developed a range of true colour and day/night hybrid digital CCTV cameras with full IP networking capability.
Bewator has introduced a new range of true security hybrid IP cameras. With 'colour', 'day-night' and 'day-night with wide dynamic' models available, plus the ability of compression standard selection between MJPEG and MPEG4, the new range offers the right camera for every application.

Using unique hybrid technology, the new IP camera range offers the best of both analogue and digital, having a standard analogue connection for traditional CCTV systems and an Ethernet connector for direct connection to an IP network. This enables connection of the cameras to an analogue system whilst also being future proofed for investments in digital equipment.

Importantly, each of the three, new high-sensitivity cameras can also be switched between MJPEG and MPEG4 encoding to offer complete flexibility. As well as simplifying the choice for installers, the hybrid IP cameras also reduce stocking, as distributors now need keep only one range to cover both standards.

The new range comprises 'colour', 'day-night' and 'day-night with wide dynamic' models for use in a multitude of applications. High-performance CCD sensors permit very high light-sensitivity to deliver outstanding images indoors and out, day and night.

Digital recording of streaming images over a network is possible in MJPEG mode via the SISTORE MX family - either using the hybrid video recording platform SISTORE MX, SISTORE MX NVS when using a standard PC running Network Video Software or the industrial oriented SISTORE MX NVR - Network Video Recorder. When in MPEG4 mode, the intelligent Video Codec SISTORE CX supports virtual matrix functionality (with V3.5).

The cameras support Real Time Streaming Protocol (RSTP) and when in MPEG4 mode, video streams can be viewed on a standard PC video player (such as VLC or QuickTime, etc). It is possible to access the cameras and view the images from any standard Web browser using the integrated Web server. Passwords, user-profiles, and integrated firewall, ensure protection against unwanted access and turn this range into true security IP cameras.
