Holographic PIN covers for card protection

Schreiner Group : 14 May, 2007  (New Product)
Schreiner prosecure develops PIN cover with embedded hologram for protection of cards and bank correspondance.
As the world market leader in label-based solutions for protecting personal identification numbers (PINs), Schreiner ProSecure uses its special know-how in advanced holographic technologies to enhance the level of security provided by PIN covers as well as their aesthetic appeal.

Whether applied to forwarding letters or directly to cards, PIN covers are designed to prevent PIN theft and the resulting fraudulent use of PINs. PIN covers incorporating the most advanced anti-tampering protection and tamper evidence materials and technologies such as Schreiner ProSecure's PIN-Safe provide the highest levels of protection currently available. The addition of a customized hologram as a counterfeit-proof authenticity feature cranks this level of security up another notch and, as an added benefit, provides an attractive eye-catcher that boosts the image of the card provider.

Schreiner ProSecure uses the most advanced manufacturing technologies to create fascinating, two- or three-dimensional and dynamic holographic designs with true-color effects for incorporation into its PIN covers. Hidden security features are embedded in microscopically small structures that aren't perceptible by the naked eye. Holograms at this level of technological advancement cannot currently be copied by counterfeiters and are typically used on credit cards, bank notes, admission tickets and various security-relevant documents.

"Consumers have long become accustomed to holograms being used as decorative security features on documents or other items of value, and as a mark of quality," said Thomas Voelcker, Head of Marketing and Sales at Schreiner ProSecure. "As counterfeiters are becoming increasingly sophisticated and proficient in copying holograms, only holograms using the most advanced technology can be trusted to provide the required level of protection for highly sensitive items like PINs. Card companies opting for our PIN covers combined with state-of-the-art customized holographic designs can be sure to receive a solution that fully meets their expectations in terms of security and prestige."
