High security pedestrian control alliance formed.

Broughton Controls : 22 June, 2007  (Company News)
Broughton Controls and Saima Sicurezza to collaborate on the development of security control solutions including contactless access lanes, turnstiles and secure air locks.
Broughton Controls has teamed up with Italian security experts Saima Sicurezza to provide the broadest range of high security pedestrian entrance control equipment and expertise currently available to the UK market.

With over 30 years of experience in the design, manufacture and installation of pedestrian control systems, Broughton provides solutions for stadia, public buildings, commerce and industry. In 2006 the company also launched a specialist high security division to develop products to meet the specific demands of an increasing number of high security applications.

"In consultation with security agencies and end users we had already developed a number of high security solutions however, while continuing our research and development programme we have identified gaps in the UK market that were still not being serviced," explains Broughton managing director Laurence Goode. "This was particularly true where high levels of security needed to be combined with quality appearance. This is where Saima's products dovetailed perfectly with our own range. Already tried and tested in banking and border control applications across Europe, Saima's security technology completes the picture nicely and means Broughton can now offer UK architects, contractors and property developers a one-stop solution to high security, pedestrian and vehicle control applications."

The Companies' joint portfolio will be marketed, installed and technically supported by Broughton throughout the UK, providing the broadest range of pedestrian control solutions currently available in the market.

Products will range from basic full-height, external mechanical turnstiles to high security airlock systems; simple p-gates for pedestrian flow control to chrome, glass and composite high-spec flapgates and contactless access lanes for airports, hotels and prestige offices.
