High power IR LED illuminators available for Genie range.

Genie CCTV : 17 July, 2007  (New Product)
Genie illuminators enhanced with a range of IR LED illumination configurations and fitting options.
Genie's new range of TPH high intensity IR LED illuminators are designed specially for use with Genie's own range of TPH camera housings.

Available in three different models housing 4, 6 and 7 high power IR LED's respectively, the illuminators can be mounted underneath or to either side of the Genie TPH camera housing, singly or in pairs. If required, they can also be mounted on their own with the addition of either a BR-16 or BR-18 TPH wall mounting bracket.

The TPH-IR4 features 4 x high power infra-red 45-degree LED's, with a maximum effective range of 35 metres. The TPH-IR6 features 6 x high power infra-red 45-degree LED's, with a maximum range of 55 metres. The TPH-IR7 features 7 x high power infra-red 25-degree LED's, and maximum range is 75 metres. All models are available in either AC24V 1A or AC240V 800mA.

Day/night camera solutions using IR LED illuminators are increasingly popular but in order to achieve optimum performance care should be taken as environmental factors can greatly affect camera operation. The major consideration is the reflectivity of viewed objects as different surfaces have different levels of reflectance. Ideally day/night camera units fitted with high intensity IR LED illuminators should not be mounted higher than 2.5 metres from ground level in order to achieve maximum performance.
