Hazardous material detection for American forces.

ICx Technologies : 29 February, 2008  (Application Story)
ICx Technologies receives army order for systems used for the detection of dangerous chemicals for use in surveillance and assessment environments.
ICx Technologies has secured a multi-year, $17.15 million, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract from the US Army Research Office. The contract supports further development of ICx's enzyme and mass-spectrometry-based technologies for hazardous chemical detection.

"This contract supports further applications of ICx's technology platforms, which are dedicated to the detection of toxic chemicals within a number of operational scenarios. They include sensitive site assessment, manoeuvre operations, and fixed-site surveillance and/or protection," said Colin Cumming, Chief Technology Officer, ICx Technologies.
