Vista CCTV : 25 June, 2010  (New Product)
Vista has now facilitated a 25% reduction in storage requirements on the Evo range of DVR equipment with the inclusion of H.264 compression technology
H.264 Drives Reduced Storage Requirements on Evo DVR Equipment
Vista has enhanced its successful Quantum Evo DVR range to include the latest H.264 image compression technology. Providing up to 25% space saving over MPEG4 compression, the DVRs offer a longer duration of storage on the same size disk.

Offering truly outstanding picture quality, the range has been designed to bring the benefits of H.264 technology to smaller installations. Combining many of the features characteristic of high-end DVR solutions, the range provides simple installation and set-up, an intuitive user interface and simple media export to CD, DVD or USB.

Available for 4, 8 or 16 camera systems, models offer from 160GB to 1TB of storage and can be networked to provide effective off-site use and remote operation, both singularly and as part of a wide or local area network.

Complete with main and spot composite monitor outputs, plus VGA for flexibility of display. Camera selection, PTZ camera control and playback of images can be accessed via the unit's front panel, wireless IR remote or by adding the fully compatible Vista VKBD4 remote keyboard.

"By using the new H.264 compression technology the new Evo range can offer outstanding picture quality whilst using significantly less storage space than previous MPEG4-based formats," comments Mark Pritchard, Vista divisional director. "Available as DVD and non-DVD versions, the units offer a flexible and cost-effective recording solution for a wide range of applications."
