Government conveyance security tender from GateKeeper.

GateKeeper USA : 04 February, 2008  (Company News)
GateKeeper and CSL to bid for US customs and border protection work for the security of containers.
GateKeeper USA has announced that, in conjunction with its development partner Container Security Logistics, it intends to respond to the Customs and Border Protection ("CBP") Request For Information ("RFI") titled 'Solicitation number: Reference-Number-RFICSD Title : 58 -- RFI for Conveyance Security Devices".

According to Questions and Answers - Posted on January 26, 2008, the Department of Homeland Security's Business Opportunities Office stated, 'In June 2002, CBP issued a RFI in an effort to solicit CSD (container security device) COTS (current of the shelf) technology. Seventy-five (75) submissions were received and CBP conducted extensive laboratory and field testing on those devices. However, the CSDs that were submitted did not meet CBP's operational needs. With the issuance of this RFI, CBP is re-initiating contact with industry in hopes that improvements have been made pertaining to CSD technology.'

GateKeeper USA stands by its belief and statements in the January 28, 2008 press release, which stated our commitment to technology that is not 'RFID dependent' or "Current Off the Shelf" technology. 'In order to successfully address the container security issue, technology and capabilities must be above existing State of the Art as represented by the CAMS device currently being developed by CSL under our agreements," stated James Wishart, President of GateKeeper USA.
