A new cyber security centre has opened in Germany to address growing security concerns of the threats posed by hackers to the country’s infrastructure.
Mark Darvill, director at trusted security firm, AEP Networks commented: “Cybercrime presents a very real threat to every country’s critical infrastructure and we are seeing it move rapidly up government’s agendas. More countries must follow Germany’s example and ramp up security measures to protect their country’s infrastructures against cyber warfare, the same way they would prepare for any other conflict.
“Germany is not the first to deploy a cyber-security unit and it won’t be the last. We are seeing similar initiatives globally. In the UK the government committed £650 million to protecting the country from cyber-crime. This is a positive sign that action is being taken. But governments can’t afford to be complacent, they must continue to work with the security industry to deploy the most advanced security solutions to critical infrastructure.”
AEP Networks provides the highest grade security technologies to government, military and enterprise organisations to support their mission critical applications and networks.
