ImageWare Systems : 29 February, 2008  (Application Story)
Biometric technology including identity management and access control to be used by GE Security in three year agreement with ImageWare Systems.
ImageWare Systems has announced a three-year, royalty-based, worldwide OEM agreement with GE Security. Under the terms of the agreement, GE Security may include ImageWare's award-winning products for biometric identity management, logical access control and card management as an integral part of its identity management solution offerings.

GE Security's identity management solutions are integrated security platforms with PIV I & II FIPS 201 compliant capabilities that support the production of a credential based on federal government approved PIV II credential platform specifications. GE's solutions deliver biometrically enabled enrollment, credential personalisation and issuance capabilities.

"We are pleased to continue our relationship with ImageWare," said Ken Francis, general manager, access and integrated solutions products, GE Security. "This agreement allows us to offer our identity management solutions customers additional functionality to help them address their unique security challenges."

"GE Security has been a valued partner for many years. We are very delighted to play an important role in helping to enable GE Security's access control vision through this OEM agreement," said Jim Miller, ImageWare's chairman and CEO. "We look forward to the successful integration of these technologies and the enhanced functionality that will result from our solutions working in tandem."
