Gartner leadership recognition for Passlogix

Passlogix : 26 September, 2008  (Company News)
Enterprise sign on tool positions Passlogix as one of the leaders in the field in Gartner report
Passlogix has been positioned in the leaders quadrant in the new "Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Single Sign-On" report published by Gartner on September 28. The report evaluates 12 vendors that provide enterprise single sign-on (ESSO) tools for password management.

Quadrant positions were established based on each vendor's ability to execute and completeness of vision. Criteria included the vendor's product/service, overall viability, sales execution/pricing, market responsiveness and track record, marketing execution, customer experience, market understanding, marketing strategy, sales strategy, offering/product strategy, business model, vertical/industry strategy, innovation and geographic strategy.

The report defines leaders in the ESSO market as vendors that 'show a consistent capability to gain new customers in broad industries and geographies; and, at the higher end of the quadrant, they have very good to excellent customer references, products that easily integrate with target systems; and leaders demonstrate a commitment to rapidly provide the product updates that their customers want."

"In the past year, Passlogix has released the industry's first on-demand ESSO client, announced the market's first ESSO-based solution for shared account access, and extended ESSO beyond the four walls of the enterprise to support partners, suppliers and contractors as well as employees working remotely," said Marc Boroditsky, Passlogix President and CEO. "We believe that our positioning in Gartner's ESSO leaders quadrant stems directly from these innovations as well as our strong 12-year track record of successful ESSO deployments."

v-GO SSO (v-GO Single Sign-On), the core building block of Passlogix's v-GO Access Accelerator Suite, automatically and securely signs the user into any number of Windows, mainframe or Web applications after a single network logon without additional identification and authentication processes. This strategy - designed to combat password overload - helps enterprises increase worker productivity, comply with privacy-related regulatory mandates, reduce help desk calls and other support costs, and prevent security breaches associated with pilfering of written password lists.

The v-GO suite also offers additional sign-on, authentication and provisioning solutions that enable businesses to improve operational efficiency, strengthen enterprise security and regulatory compliance readiness, and streamline identity management deployments. These products extend v-GO's single sign-on capabilities to any form of strong authentication, kiosk environments, and employees working away from their main workstation as well as partners, suppliers and contractors; enable identity provisioning systems to automatically inject user credentials into v-GO SSO without manual password distribution; and permit self-service reset of forgotten Windows passwords.

Enterprises frequently deploy v-GO before implementing identity management or two-factor authentication because v-GO can go live quickly and seamlessly integrate with all major identity management systems as well as any combination of smart cards, badges, proximity devices, tokens or biometrics. v-GO can be deployed on existing servers without adding dedicated or proprietary hardware, scales to support organizations of any size, and is used in enterprises around the world with over 10 million licenses sold.
