SIA audit on door staff in the Scottish town of Dumfries came up with an encouraging result of full compliance
Random checks on door staff working in Dumfries pubs and bars on Friday the 11th of September found 100 per cent compliance with licensing regulations.
Door staff working at pubs, bars and clubs in Scotland must hold a Security Industry Authority licence and display this while working.
Investigators from the SIA and officers from Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary carried out the inspection, finding all 20 door staff checked holding valid SIA licences.
Sharon Roberts, an SIA Head of Investigation, said: "Having trained, vetted and SIA licensed door staff means the public can enjoy a safer night out, so the results of these recent checks are very encouraging."
