Free training for SaaS security partners

Technical training in security software-as-a-service will be supplied to members of the Webroot partner program
Webroot, a cloud security provider for consumer and business, has launched an advanced technical training programme to support its existing channel partners. The free programme will enable partners to respond to the demand for software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions, and covers Web and Email-based security.

In recent months, Webroot has experienced an 80% increase in requests from prospective channel partners throughout the UK who want to sell Webroot's SaaS security solutions. The one-day training programme provides its new and existing partners with an in-depth review of the total benefits of SaaS, and thorough technical training of Webroot Web and Email Security SaaS and Webroot® Email Encryption Service. Partners also benefit from a unique system to monitor and generate opportunities and leads, a SaaS-specific calculation tool to demonstrate cost-savings and a range of sales and marketing materials to drive quick and easy revenue success.

Ian Moyse, Channel Director EMEA, Webroot, said: "Recent industry research indicates that 85% of malware is now disseminated via the Web.
