Flexible LCD mounting for surveillance control centres.

Chief Manufacturing : 29 February, 2008  (New Product)
Multiple monitor mounting with flexible configurations enables command and control centres to receive the optimum position of their screens.
From its vast range of flat-screen and projector mounting solutions, Chief Manufacturing, is highlighting its selection of stands for the discreet positioning of multiple monitors in command and control security & surveillance applications.

The company makes many ranges of multiple monitor mounts, for example: model FTP220, which holds two LCD monitors side by side, and the FTP440, which allows up to four monitors to be stacked in a 2 by 2 configuration. The FTP multi-monitor series can also be expanded up to a configuration of nine monitors.

Made from the strongest quality materials, all products are designed to provide a rock-solid, free-standing solution for anyone who commonly works with multiple small flat-panel screens. They can be positioned either on a desktop or from a ceiling in front of operators and have 360-degree rotation. All models offer built-in cable management and use Chief's patented Centris pivot/tilt mechanism to provide a smooth range of fingertip position adjustments for each individual monitor.

"Command and control centres for applications such as CCTV, security, transport and utilities are designed for 24/7 use, and require technology that is both future-proof and expandable," comments Melinda von Horvath, Chief's EMEA Sales Director. "These principles don't just apply to the video screens themselves - they also apply to the hardware that supports them."

The FTP440 has already been supplied to a number of airport control-room towers in France following a strict evaluation process, and Melinda von Horvath says that further such installations are in the pipeline, as more and more security-industry customers recognise the benefits of a Chief mounting solution.

"At Chief, we recognise that no control room is the same, which is why our mounts can be tailored by installers specifically to the number of camera feeds, software and specific monitoring requirements of each installation," she says.

"The flexibility of the FTP440 and FTP220 mean that installers can make the most of the available space, which is often at a premium in these rooms. And in an environment where ergonomics are vital, the ability for operators to make fine, fingertip adjustments without compromising monitor stability is also a huge benefit."

Chief Manufacturing has more than 30 years of proven product and service excellence in the flat-panel and projector mount industries. The company's website (www.chiefmfg.com) offers complete online product information, design tools, and news items, as well as MountFinder Pro, an interactive guide that allows installers to find exactly the right mount for their product and application.
