SiPass Entro 6.5, the popular user-friendly and highly scalable access control system from Security Products from Siemens has, for the second year in succession, been voted Product of the Year in the Access Control category of the prestigious and highly regarded PSI Premier Awards. In the face of strong competition, SiPass Entro 6.5 was selected for the award by a process that depends only on the nominations votes of security installers.
“We’re very proud to have won this coveted award with SiPass Entro not just once but twice,” said Tim Brooks, Business Unit Manager at Siemens. “In fact, we’re especially proud of winning this particular award because it reflects the opinions of security installers, who are the people at the sharp end who really know how good a product is and how well it is supported.”
“We make a huge investment in developing products that deliver genuine benefits and value for installers and end users alike. To have the industry confirm that we’re getting it right by making it possible for us to win a Product of the Year Award is exceptionally gratifying. Not that we’ll be content to rest on our laurels of course – even the best can be improved, and we’re already working hard to make sure we hang on to this award for a few more years at the very least!”
The SiPass 6.5 system that won the award is a reliable, cost effective access control system that is renowned for its scalability, flexibility and user-friendly interface. It can monitor and control access to facilities with up to 512 doors and 40,000 cardholders and offers many advanced features including options to customise access rights by categories and to produce an extensive range of reports.
Used in conjunction with Siemens SISTORE digital video recorders, SiPass provides fully integrated smart video recording and monitoring capabilities that include event-triggered recording and an automatically launched live-view function to provide instant access to images of areas where, for example, unauthorised access attempts are being made. SiPass Entro also supports Windows Terminal Server 2003/2008, which allows multi-site card management from a central location.
