Fleet tracking system for improved fuel consumption and vehicle monitoring

Procon : 18 August, 2009  (New Product)
Vehiclepath and SpeedGauge have integrated their products to provide fleet managers with a solution for fleet tracking, monitoring and modification of driver behaviour
Vehiclepath, a San Diego-based division of Procon engaged in Mobile Resource Management (MRM) announces the integration of its GPS fleet tracking system into the SpeedGauge solution. This integration will allow Vehiclepath customers to identify high-risk driving behavior, monitor speed and rate drivers on all types of roads, nationwide.
'Vehiclepath GPS fleet tracking services have already shown an immediate and recognizable ROI and our integration with SpeedGauge will give our customers additional cost and time savings immediately,' said Mark Wells, President of Vehiclepath.

'Fleet managers understand that reducing excessive speed has a big impact on the direct and indirect costs of accidents. With the Vehiclepath and SpeedGauge integration, it is easy for fleet managers to take immediate action and change driver behavior,' said Jonathan Hubbard, CEO & Co-Founder of SpeedGauge.

SpeedGauge solutions provide predictive decision-support information to commercial fleets, their insurance companies, and their customers, allowing them to:

* Reduce accident and insurance rates by identifying risky driving behaviour
* Measure, monitor and manage vehicle fuel economy
