Aladdin Knowledge Systems : 17 October, 2008  (Company News)
Vice President of Global Marketing at Aladdin to oversee business development activity at the company
Aladdin Knowledge Systems has announced that Dirk Christiansen will join Aladdin's management team as the new Vice President of Global Marketing. Christiansen brings significant expertise in the security and networking industries, setting global strategy focused on lead generation, branding, and go-to-market programs.

Christiansen joins Aladdin from Sophos, where he served as the vice president of global marketing. In his time there he increased qualified leads and revenue by more than 25 percent through innovative marketing, branding and lead generation strategies. Previously, he served as the senior director of marketing for Trend Micro, driving lead generation, field marketing and vertical market messaging strategies. Christiansen also held senior marketing positions at Intel, ServGate, Novell and Firefox.

"Dirk Christiansen brings a fresh perspective to Aladdin's marketing team with extensive experience blending new media with tried-and-true strategy in security and networking industries," said Elinor Nissensohn, senior vice president of global sales and marketing at Aladdin Knowledge Systems. "As Aladdin expands its product lines and increases its reach into new markets, a solid marketing team becomes increasingly important. This is an important step in Aladdin's go-to-market strategy - enabling us to increase brand awareness, grow revenues and maintain our leading position in the security industry."

Christiansen received his bachelors degree in accounting from Southern Utah University.
