European vulnerability assessment seminar

Comsec Consulting Global : 08 October, 2008  (New Product)
NetIQ seminar series to be concluded in Holland with Comsec specialist speaking on assessing internal threats
Comsec Consulting will be outlining the challenges faced by businesses to assess and manage their vulnerability of internal threats as it presents at the last in a series of NetIQ European seminars on 7th October in The Netherlands.

Henk Van der Heijden, the company's European Director, will be outlining the challenges faced by enterprises and SMEs to assess their vulnerability as more and more companies are exposed to internal threats, whether caused on purpose or by mistake. This seminar is the third in a series held in Europe by NetIQ, a leading provider of comprehensive systems and security management solutions that help enterprises maximise IT service delivery and efficiency. Mr Van der Heijden has presented at all three seminars addressing a total of over 100 IT security professionals.

Comsec's presentation will take place at 10.30am on Tuesday 7th October at Holland Casino in Breda.

Henk Van der Heijden explains Comsec's views on the current challenges, 'The borders between insiders, meaning people within a business such as employees, and outsiders, meaning external contacts such as suppliers or customers, is blurred. Companies need to address the changing threat landscape and focus on a combination of protection, detection and response in order to protect critical assets, such as confidential company data, against fraud and misuse.'

In addition, Mr Van der Heijden will address the future role of technology in combating security and provide delegates with important information on how to effectively manage threats and design a framework which will enable a measurable, secure response to their internal and external requirements.
