Sysec has selected MobileIron as its preferred technology partner for enterprise mobile device management to address the growing need organisations have to manage and secure mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets using mobile operating system platforms such as Android, Blackberry, iOS and Windows Phone.
The worldwide enterprise mobility market is forecast to grow exponentially from $67Bn in 2011 to $181Bn in 2017 with much of this growth fuelled by the increasing adoption of bring your own device (BYOD) strategies for mobile enterprise computing and communications. Risks come with this growth. The Information Security Breaches Survey (ISBS) 2013 confirms that over 50% of businesses permit staff to connect their own phones and tablets to corporate systems and 9% of large organisations had a data or security breach in the last year involving smartphones or tablets.
MobileIron has been selected by Sysec as the preferred solution for enterprise mobility in recognition of their advanced and innovative security and management capabilities. The MobileIron solution delivers on-premise and cloud security for the management of mobile applications, documents and devices. Key innovations within the MobileIron solution include multi-operating system mobile device management (MDM), mobile application management (MAM) and BYOD privacy controls.
Alistair Mutch, UK & Ireland Director of MobileIron, commented, “We are delighted to welcome Sysec as a preferred partner for MobileIron in the UK. Sysec’s expertise in information security, coupled with their strong professional services capability, will give customers the assurance that their deployment of MobileIron technology will help to accelerate the productive use of secure enterprise mobility throughout their business.”
Cris Pikes, CEO for Sysec, added, “After thorough market analysis, validation and successful completion of our product adoption criteria we are delight to be adding MobileIron to our portfolio of best-of-breed security and system management capabilities. The addition of MobileIron as a technology partner means Sysec continues to anticipate our customers’ requirement for agile and comprehensive security that protects on-premise, cloud and mobile users of corporate computing resources.”
