Endpoint Encryption for Military Grocery Supplier

Credant Technologies : 17 February, 2010  (Application Story)
The Defence Commissary Agency will secure sensitive data relating to defence supplies using endpoint encryption technology from Credant
Credant Technologies has been awarded a contract to provide endpoint encryption software and services for the Defence Commissary Agency (DeCA). The agency, based in Fort Lee, provides groceries to military personnel throughout the world.

Credant Technologies will provide DeCA with its security solution Credant Mobile Guardian, which ensures compliance with key mandates of government data protection requirements, including OMB-M-06 and FISMA. The solution will safeguard all data on mobile devices, such as laptops, thumb drives, and PDAs while offering multiple levels of access, device, and end-user controls.

Credant Mobile Guardian will also provide the agency with audit and reporting capabilities that demonstrate compliance with data breach notification laws. With Credant, government agencies can prove data has been encrypted if lost or stolen.

"A growing number of government departments and federal contractors trust Credant Technologies for their endpoint encryption and data security," said Pete Morrison, vice president, North American sales for Credant Technologies. "With Credant, the Defende Commissary Agency mobile workforce can have peace of mind that its sensitive information will always be protected from theft or security breaches."
